FK Željezničar and Aleksa Pejić (26) have officially agreed on a two-and-a-half-year contract, with the midfielder arriving at Grbavica from Maccabi Bnei Reineh.

Pejić was born on September 9, 1999, in Belgrade, and took his first football steps at the FK Brodarac academy, where he won the Serbian U19 championship title and delivered notable performances in the UEFA Youth League. He began his senior career with Proleter, then a member of the Serbian SuperLiga, where he spent two seasons before transferring to Belarusian side Saligorsk. While playing for Saligorsk, he won the league title, after which he spent two seasons with Rapid Vienna. This was followed by a season with TSC, while the last six months he spent at Maccabi Bnei Reineh.

The new Željezničar player will strengthen competition in midfield and brings extensive experience, having played over 180 senior matches in high-quality national leagues, as well as appearances in European competitions. During his career so far, he has also earned two caps for the senior national team of Serbia.
